Hundreds gathered in the city centre on Saturday afternoon (July 24) for a demonstration believed to be linked to the coronavirus pandemic and vaccinations.

Video footage shows scores of people chanting “shame on you” at uniformed police officers before continuing down Market Street.

The group were holding up banners including one which read: “Don’t believe the hype”. It is thought that the protesters had gathered under the banner of the ‘World Wide Rally For Freedom’.
