Premier League games to go ahead as planned following government coronavirus advice

This weekend's Premier League games will go ahead after advice from the Prime Minister suggested no cancellations were necessary.

England's top flight is one of the few major European leagues not to take action to prevent the spread of coronavirus. On Thursday three Leicester players were told to self-isolate as they begun showing symptoms of Covid-19.

Manchester City's clash with Arsenal at the Eithad Stadium is the only domestic game to be postponed so far because of coronavirus.

But all ten games scheduled for this weekend will go ahead, including Monday's Merseyside derby and Tottenham vs Manchester United .
