Player union bosses will hold the next round of talks with the Premier League and EFL on Wednesday - as clubs push for wage cuts and deferrals.

The coronavirus crisis has left some clubs in desperate trouble and facing an uncertain future with teams from all four divisions considering making drastic financial decisions.

League One and League Two clubs have openly admitted they will have to push for wage cuts while Championship and even Premier League clubs may have to ask for deferrals.

Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor will hold talks with league bosses and study figures around finances balanced against how long they may have to survive before games can resume.
