A pregnant nurse who is being treated for coronavirus has issued a tearful plea about social distancing. Speaking on camera through a mask at her hospital bed, Michelle Wright, 37, has urged Brits to stay inside to protect lives.

Michelle, who is 29 weeks pregnant, was being treated on a high dependency ward on Friday, April 3 when she filmed the video, BirminghamLive reports.

While struggling to breathe, the City Hospital nurse spoke to say she had been given steroid injections to help her unborn baby's lungs amid fears they may 'deteriorate', prompting a premature birth.
