And back in 2020, former footballer Ashley Cole was subjected to a terrifying knifepoint robbery in which a masked gang allegedly threatened to "cut his fingers off".
A source close to Ferdinand told the MailOnline that there was a security incident at the couple's Home Counties mansion last night, with police being called to the property.The publication reports that there is now a criminal investigation underway.
