Police are to be notified over allegations of cocaine use in the Palace of Westminster. It comes after the Sunday Times reported cocaine detection wipe tests carried out in a single evening on 12 locations in parliament found evidence of the class A substance in several toilets.
The paper also reported that Commons officials had received reports last month that cannabis could be smelt in an open area used by staff for cigarette breaks.
Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said he would notify police following the discovery.
