The attack happened outside the Morrisons supermarket near Oldham Street at around 3.45pm on Saturday (April 24). Greater Manchester Police said a 25-year-old man was attacked by another man.
He suffered stab wounds to the face, arm and shoulder in the assault. He was taken to hospital for treatment, however, his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
