Plans for 'floating budget hotel' on Swansea waterfront scuppered as boat sinks

WalesOnline reports. Paul O’Dwyer, Lee West and Oliver Davies unveiled plans in October 2017 to transform a boat into budget accommodation, to be located at Prince Dock in Swansea.The ship would have been capable of hosting 49 people a night and create 12 full-time jobs.Speaking at the time, Mr O'Dwyer said: "Our target market is budget travellers, people who would normally stay in hostels, or travelling fans for Swans or Ospreys games or stag dos.“People these days begrudge paying £100 for a room when they will only be staying a few hours there.“It will only be £20 a night, they will all be twin rooms and with an en-suite.“We will be running excursions from the boat.
