The Adult Disability Payment (ADP) is a new benefit scheduled to be delivered by Social Security Scotland next year that will replace Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for Scottish claimants.
The new benefit will provide additional financial support to people of working age across Scotland with a disability, long-term illness or mental health condition.
It will initially be piloted from spring, 2022 before becoming available to all Scottish claimants in the summer of the same year.
Scottish claimants who currently receive UK Government disability benefits, delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), will be transferred to the new devolved system in stages after the new benefits are introduced.
