Piers Morgan has revealed that Prince Philip had a great habit of putting him down. From his first meeting in 1998 at Prince Charles' 50th birthday to the first Royal Variety Show performance by a Britain's Got Talent winner, Piers admits that the Duke of Edinburgh "had a way with words".

The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, was the latest to share stories about their experience with the late royal. In the Mail on Sunday, Piers wrote how the word cordial only ever applied to a drink mixer for Prince Philip.

Discussing his Royal Variety Show appearance in 2007, Piers revealed the differing reactions from Philip and his wife, the Queen.
