Piers Morgan quits Good Morning Britain after 41,000 complain about Meghan Markle comments

Piers Morgan has quit Good Morning Britain after more than 41,000 people complained about his conduct surrounding Meghan Markle.

The TV host stepped down after Ofcom launched an investigation into the show, following his comments about ‘not believing Meghan’ when he claimed she was suicidal.

The statement read: ‘Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.‘ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.’ Ahead of the announcement, Piers simply tweeted a Gif of a ticking clock, but is yet to comment further.

Piers has been under fire since Monday’s episode where he condemned Meghan’s comments in her and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
