Piers Morgan has said the Russian TV employee who crashed a live broadcast with an anti-war message is "the world's bravest woman".
Marina Ovsyannikova, who works at Channel One, walked onto the set of the channel's nightly news show shouting "no to war" and carrying a sign saying: "Don't believe the propaganda.
They're lying to you here." She apparently also made an anti-war video and, according to the BBC, she was later fined 30,000 rouble (£214) in relation to that, before being released.
Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers has shared a screengrab on Instagram of the moment that Marina stormed onto the set. "The world's bravest woman," he wrote."During the 'Vremya' news programme on Russia's main state TV channel, Maria Ovsyannikova, a Channel One employee, rushed in front of the camera with a poster saying 'Stop the war, don’t believe the propaganda.'"She knew the risk she was taking, and the likely punishment.
