Corruption, a new play by Oslo playwright J.T. Rogers about the phone hacking scandal that engulfed Rupert Murdoch’s media empire in 2011, will be produced by Lincoln Center Theater this winter in a production that will reunite Rogers with his Oslo director Bartlett Sher.

A short while later, she alleges she received a call from British tabloid The Sun saying they knew about the pregnancy and wanted to break the story. Miller’s then-publicist, Ciara Parkes, who also features in the doc, alleges the call about the pregnancy came from The Sun’s former editor, Rebekah Brooks. (According to the BBC, The Sun’s publisher News Group (NGN) denies this account and says Brooks was aware of any unlawful information gathering).

Rupert Murdoch reportedly might have ended his marriage with Jerry Hall via text. The couple – who got married in a lowkey ceremony in London back in March 2016 – are said to be calling time on their relationship, and it’s claimed the 91-year-old media mogul could have revealed the news in a digital message. As reported by the Daily Mail, there are rumours he delivered the news electronically – either by text or email.

Hugh Grant has reportedly launched a new phone-hacking claim against The Sun newspaper. The actor, 61, previously brought a case against the News of the World accusing it of phone-hacking in the 2000s; the case was settled in 2012. Now Grant is apparently launching a fresh claim against the Sun, which, like the defunct News of the World, is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News UK.

Sharon Osbourne is set to make a big return to TV alongside her old pal Piers Morgan.Following her exit from CBS' The Talk, the showbiz icon will now join Piers at TalkTV for her own current affairs show.It will also be called The Talk and will air for an hour each night every week.Every episode will see Sharon, 69, joined by five "opinionated famous faces" (presumably Piers will get a call-up) to discuss the latest news. American Woman and Black Mass star Sienna Miller has been awarded a substantial payout from the Sun parent News UK after the newspaper obtained details of her pregnancy in 2005 via what she believes to be “blatantly unlawful means.”

Rupert Murdoch's News Corp will not launch a fully fledged Fox News-style news channel in the U.K., finding that such a move would not be financially viable. Rebekah Brooks, CEO of the company's News UK unit, told staff in an email memo Tuesday that there would not be sufficient payoff for shareholders in starting an outright channel, with the company instead focusing on producing streaming video content.
