Piers Morgan apologises to Ofcom after being hit with over 2,000 complaints

Television journalist Piers Morgan has apologised after fans complained to Ofcom about his behaviour. The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, was the subject of more than 2,000 complaints to the broadcasting regulator due to his intense interviews with MPs on the breakfast show.

Last week, Piers came under fire for his conduct in an interview with care minister Helen Whately on the programme. He was accused of "bullying" her when he insisted she answer why so many elderly residents of care homes were going untested for COVID-19 amid the current pandemic.

Now, taking to Twitter, Piers has called on his fans to defend his interview technique. He wrote: "Apparently nearly 2000 people have now complained to @Ofcom about me grilling Care
