But in a surprise twist, Piers explained that Vinnie had naughtily insulted him in smaller writing underneath, Piers said: "Had a great card from Vinnie Jones.
It says, ‘Happy Birthday you total legend.’ Then in smaller writing, ‘I meant total b*****d’. Thanks Vinnie." Stunned Charlotte Hawkins insisted that Piers was not allowed to say the naughty word live on breakfast TV.
Piers was unperturbed and insisted that amid the coronavirus outbreak they were "past normal laws" before the 9pm watershed.
