Perthshire pub which has been closed for most of the year gets the go-ahead for roof terrace

Perthshire pub landlord finally has something to toast after his business closed for most of the pandemic. Perth and Kinross councillors this week approved plans for a roof terrace above The Errol Pub.

One councillor supporting the plans said having a pub open in the middle of a village was “essential.”Major cash boost for Scotland's oldest public lending libraryThe Errol Pub was only able to open for around five weeks after restrictions eased after lockdown.It then had to close again due to lack of floor space for social distancing.

Pub landlord Allan Neilson - who took over the establishment around four years ago - submitted plans to Perth and Kinross Council for a roof terrace above the flat-roofed extension.
