What’s going on with NPR’s third most popular host? “In The Know” combines puppetry, stop-motion animation, and live-action interviews. The series may be unique in its execution, but the celebrity interviewee segments harken back to traditional talk shows.

“Praise Petey,” premiering July 21 (10 p.m.) on Freeform.Annie Murphy headlines the series as Petey, a millennial “It Girl” who, through a series of events, takes command of New Utopia, a small-town cult started by her hedonistic late father (Root). He, in turn, left behind a trove of weird, oft-touching life-lesson videotapes to help guide his daughter on her newfound journey — and looms large over the season arc.The all-star cast includes Christine Baranski, Paget Brewster, Kirsey Clemons, John Cho and Amy Hill.The series, created by Anna Drezen (“Saturday Night Live”), counts among its executive producers Mike Judge and Greg Daniels — co-creators of Fox’s beloved animated series “King of the Hill” (1997-2009), on which Root played sad-sack Army barber Bill Dauterive, pal/drinking buddy of Texas propane salesman Hank Hill (Judge).“He was the first one to contact me [about ‘Praise Petey’],” Root said of Judge.

EXCLUSIVE: Paramount+ has released the official trailer for season two of the adult animated series Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head. The first two episodes will premiere April 20 in the U.S. and Canada, and in Australia and the U.K. on Friday, April 21, with further international markets to follow.

Judge needed the film’s music to reflect the emotional and physical journey the duo would embark on. To accomplish that, Frizzell recorded an epic score with a 69-piece orchestra in Vienna.In the new film, Beavis and Butt-Head wind up at space camp through “creative sentencing” from a juvenile court judge in 1998.

It’s been 26 years since “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” landed in theaters at the peak of the animated idiots’ popularity. Of course, it was a box office hit.

Selome Hailu HBO Max and Cartoon Network announced a new family-oriented animated special called “Chelm: The Smartest Place on Earth” from Sacha Baron Cohen, Greg Daniels, Mike Judge and Michael Korman. Baron Cohen is set to star.“Chelm: The Smartest Place on Earth” is set in the mythical “Town of Fools” that has long existed in Yiddish folktakes and shares the original stories’ absurdist humor and interpretive questioning in a nod to Jewish intellectual traditions.

They also starred in 1996 film ‘Beavis And Butt-Head Do America’.The show returned for one more series on MTV in 2011, but now Comedy Central is talking big about its return.

The idiots known as Beavis and Butt-Head are returning to TV screens. This time, the animated duo are expected to jump from MTV to Comedy Central, with a new deal to bring the ‘90s series back to life.
