Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich and Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Chad Smith are reportedly set to appear in the upcoming This Is Spinal Tap sequel.According to a report from Deadline Hollywood, the two veteran drummers will cameo in the upcoming film, though details surrounding their roles are currently unknown. It is expected that Ulrich and Smith will both be playing short-lived drummers for the fictitious Spinal Tap band.Deadline also announced that more actors have newly been attached to the film.

The news comes just one month before the premiere of Season 4, which debuts on the network July 31 with episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu. Starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, the comedy about parenthood will pick up five years after the events of Season 3, which saw Freeman’s Paul and Haggard’s Ally on the brink of splitting up. According to a press release, the fourth and final season of “Breeders” will bring “the biggest parenting challenge that Paul and Ally have ever faced, as 18-year-old Luke (Oscar Kennedy) drops a bombshell at Christmas dinner that will change everyone’s lives forever. No longer in Luke’s shadow, 16-year-old Ava (Zoë Athena) experiences her own bombshell moment as she meets and immediately falls for the charismatic Holly (Jessie Williams). Paul and Ally continue to try, fail and try again as they face these latest parenting challenges, while also having to support the increasingly troubled Jim (Alun Armstrong) and Jackie (Joanna Bacon).”

Season 3, which concluded on July 11, picked up days after the end of Season 2, as the Worsley family reels from teenaged Luke (Alex Eastwood) punching his dad, Paul (Freeman). Paul has moved out and is staying at his mother-in-law Leah’s (Stella Gonet) house.

The Thick Of It star Chris Addison has reacted to the proposed fly-on-the-wall docuseries about Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, saying such a prospect could “never go well”.Since news leaked of the mooted documentary last week, which is reportedly being created in a bid to broaden Starmer’s appeal to the electorate, it has been compared to Armando Iannucci’s beloved comedy series on social media.“It should be helpful to them, The Thick Of It,” Addison (who played political aide Oliver Reeder, later directing an episode) told NME of his advice to the people behind the idea of the documentary.
