WWE Raw was one of immense drama as the build-up to the upcoming Clash of the Castle in Cardiff next month continued to rise.The victors of the tournament to crown the new Women's Tag Team Champions were decided in a match between Dakota Kai and IYO SKY and Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah.Hall of Famer Kurt Angle returned to his old stomping grounds for his first appearance on Raw since June 27 while United States Champion Bobby Lashley had his hands full as he came up against the forever wily veteran The Miz.READ MORE:WWE 'given hands-off warning by rivals AEW after top star is approached' for returnThe action began with Dolph Ziggler and Finn Balor of Judgment Day trading shots before both men tagged in their partners and AJ Styles sent Damian Priest to the outside.In what was a competitive match-up, Styles managed to lock in a Calf Crusher on Balor before he managed to find the bottom rope.Priest then gathered momentum as he hit Ziggler with a back breaker before delivering a chokeslam to the former World Heavyweight Champion for the win.Winners: Judgement DayThe six-man tag match was full of action as Belair landed a delayed vertical suplex on Ark before Bliss landed a senton.Asuka tagged in and was like a whirlwind in the ring as she delivered a lariat and landed a kick to Ark's face before she finished the match with the Asuka lock resulting in the tap.Winners: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and AsukaKurt Angle returned to Raw for the first time since June 27 and spoke of his delight to be back as he was joined in the ring by the Alpha Academy.Chad Gable told Angle that he's his personal hero and he and Otis offered Angle 100% acceptance into the Alpha Academy, an offer Angle refused, much to the disdain of the two

WWE champions walk out on company before live show after refusing to face Scottish duo
WWE's top female champions walked out of a live show just hours before they were set to take on a Scottish duo over night.WWE's women's tag team champions Sasha Banks and Naomi were set to take part in a six-pack challenge match against fellow top star Asuka, Ireland's Becky Lynch and the Scottish pair of Doudrop and Nikki.However, just hours before WWE's flagship Monday Night Raw show took place, rumours emerged that Banks and Naomi had actually refused to take part in the match – and that the duo from Scotland were reportedly the cause of the issue.Doudrop, whose real name is Kimberly Benson, and Nikki ASH – who is actually called Nicola Glencross and hails from Glasgow – have been teaming up in recent weeks, but have faced the pair of Banks and Naomi both together with other partners, and separately on numerous occasions.Had the match taken place, the winner was set to face current WWE Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair.But just a few hours before the show was set to hit their airwaves, the company released a statement to confirm the walkout.Although it was not confirmed that the Scottish pair were the reason the champions weren't happy, a spokesman for WWE said: “When Sasha Banks and Naomi arrived at the arena this afternoon, they were informed of their participation in the main event of tonight's Monday Night Raw. “During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk and walked out.
