Check it out below.Announced today (April 18), the new album will mark the Norwegian four-piece and NME 100 alumni’s third studio album, following on from their blistering debut ‘Birthday’ in 2019, and 2021’s critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘Cheater’.Set for release on August 16 via Bella Union, the LP is set to see vocalist/lyricist Ragnhild Fangel Jamtveit, bassist Jonas Krøvel, guitarist Martin Miguel Almagro Tonne, and drummer Ola Djupvik reach new heights, as they learn from their time in the industry so far and push their sound in new directions.“It feels like we’re maturing and growing up together,” explained Jamtveit.

The Fall have announced the re-release of ‘Slates’, containing live renditions of the original tracks.The return sees the surviving members of the ‘80s post-punk group deliver a live version of their fan-favourite 1981 project, ‘Slates’ – nearly 50 years after they first formed.To create the new release, four ex-members of the line-up – Marc Riley, Craig Scanlon, Paul Hanley and Steve Hanley – have come together once again to revisit the archive recordings. It is set to arrive on April 26 via Bella Union’s subsidiary label POPSTOCK.With the new EP, The Fall present live versions of the six songs that made up the original mini-LP, variously recorded in Holland, Hamburg, Glasgow and London. Tim Burgess has released the ‘Atypical Music EP’, which features remixed tracks from his latest double album ‘Typical Music’.The remix EP from The Charlatans frontman enlistS the help of English DJ and musician Andy Votel and Filipino singer-songwriter Eyedress. Comedian James Acaster has announced a new music project, Temps, which sees him working with a range of other musicians, including Seb Rochford, Shamir and Nnamdi. An album is set for release on Bella Union next year, and first single, ‘No, No’, is out now.In 2019, Acaster published a book called ‘Perfect Sound Whatever’, in which he argued that 2016 was the greatest ever year for music, and for which he interviewed many of the artists who recorded the albums he featured.

Radiohead drummer Philip Selway has announced that he will release his third solo album, ‘Strange Dance’, next year.The idea behind the sound of the record was an imagined situation where Carole King collaborated on an album with Daphne Oram and invited him to drum on it. Helping him to realise this vision he enlisted musicians including Hannah Peel, Adrian Utley, Quinta, Marta Salogni, Valentina Magaletti and Laura Moody.“The scale of it was very deliberate for me, from the outset”, he says.

Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National, have announced details of their self-titled debut album and shared its lead single.‘Complete Mountain Almanac’ was formed after Karijord set out to make an album “about climate change in 12 suites, representing the 12 months of the year,” and approached her friend of 15 years, Jessica – who works as a poet, dancer and multimedia artist based in Italy – to contribute “poetic and lyrical” elements to the project.The band and album’s title came from a book of poetry written by Jessica in the wake of her breast cancer diagnosis, as well as coming to reflect the environmental themes on the record. Spiritualized have shared a soaring new song today (March 7) called ‘The Mainline Song’ – listen to it below.The track is the third to be lifted from Spiritualized’s upcoming album ‘Everything Was Beautiful’ which was inspired by J.
