Philip Selway has hinted at the idea that Radiohead are “coming back around to that point” of returning and reuniting.Appearing on a live stream with the Crow Hill Company on Friday, November 24, Selway said (per Exclaim): “We’ve actually had a little break for a minute; the last show that we did was back in 2018, but we’re coming back ’round to that point now. There is just something particular to that relationship — that creative relationship and personal relationship — actually, you can’t get anywhere else.”He continued: “We’re all coming back around to that point now of thinking, ‘Right, we’ve had a break — this is it.

Robbie Williams has said he wants to recruit Radiohead for a cover of ‘It’s Raining Men’.The former Take That singer is keen to get Thom Yorke and co. to do the backing track for his own version of the 1983 Weather Girls hit.He says he is yet to hear back from the band about the cover and may ask Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor instead.He told The Sun‘s Bizarre column: “I want to do a cover of ‘It’s Raining Men’ but I want Radiohead to do a backing track for me.“But they have not got back to me.

Radiohead‘s Jonny Greenwood has announced a new album with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa.‘Jarak Qaribak’ will come out on June 9 and is being previewed by a first single titled ‘Ashufak Shay’.Discussing the style of the music on the album in a press release, Tassa – who has previously toured with Radiohead – said: “When people listen to this music, I really love to imagine them thinking…what is this? It sounds 1970s, but there are drum machines, there are guitars but they’re singing in Arabic…what’s going on?”Greenwood discussed how the project compared to another past collaboration with an Israeli singer, Shye Ben Tzur, saying: “‘Jarak Qaribak’ presented a similar set of problems, in that you have all these scales which don’t conform to western major/minor scales, and have notes which involve quarter-tones, and it’s very hard to impose a chord sequence on these melodies. Philip Selway has announced a string of upcoming UK shows, following the release of his latest solo album.The Radiohead drummer is currently gearing up to hit the road as part of an upcoming solo tour – which kicks off in May.The six UK performances will follow a series of dates from across Europe, including the Café Del La Danse in Paris and the Columbia Theater in Berlin. From there, the UK leg of the tour will begin in Glasgow on May 15, and run through until May 21, where it ends in Manchester.Live performances will also be held in Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, as well as a slot at London’s Union Chapel on May 18.
