Rebecca Rubin Senior Film and Media Reporter Kerry Washington is the newest suspect in “Knives Out 3.” She joins the previously announced cast of Daniel Craig, returning as the quirky detective Benoit Blanc, and possible suspects of “Fleabag” actor Andrew Scott, “Challengers” breakout Josh O’Connor and “Priscilla” star Cailee Spaeny. “Knives Out” movies are known to employ a who’s who of Hollywood, so expect plenty of casting announcements for the whodunit in the coming weeks.

Andrew Scott is the latest actor to join the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the upcoming second sequel to the wildly successful 2019 film.Variety reported yesterday (May 29) that Scott is slated to star in the film alongside new cast members Josh O’Connor (Challengers) and Caile Spaeny (Priscilla), and, of course, leading man Daniel Craig, who played the shrewd and eccentric detective Benoit Blanc in the 2019 film and its first sequel, 2023’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.Rian Johnson will once again return as writer and director. Wake Up Dead Man is expected to go into production soon, per Variety, with a targeted release year of 2025 via Netflix.

Benoit Blanc’s next mystery is afoot. Daniel Craig will reprise the role of the famous detective who drove Rian Johnson’s two previous installments, Knives Out and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

There will be a screening of the first two episodes of new Star Wars series The Acolyte, while Kneecap will talk about their new documentary film.

Universal Pictures has tapped renowned British filmmaker Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers) to write and direct a Leonardo da Vinci film based on Walter Isaacson‘s bestselling 2017 biography of the artist, Deadline can confirm.

Ripley is one of the most talked-about Netflix releases of the moment, but what songs are on the soundtrack? Andrew Scott takes the title role in the latest adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley, opposite Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn. The story, shot entirely in black and white, follows Scott’s character as he takes on a job assignment to take a trip to Italy in an attempt to persuade his employer’s son, Dickie Greenleaf (Flynn), to return home from Europe.
