Selome Hailu Netflix released a first look at “Running Point,” Mindy Kaling‘s upcoming comedy series starring Kate Hudson. Per the official logline, “when a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business.

Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.” The cast also includes Drew Tarver, seen above on the right as Sandy, one of Isla’s brothers and the chief financial officer of The Waves; Scott MacArthur, seen above on the left as Ness, another brother and the Waves’ general manager; and Brenda Song, seen below as Ali Lee, the team’s chief of staff.

The photos were released during Netflix’s 2024 upfront presentation, during which they also gave first looks at Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s upcoming movie “Back in Action” and Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s upcoming comedy series “Nobody Wants This.” UPFRONTS 2024: COMPLETE COVERAGE “Back in Action,” newly announced to be premiering on Nov.

15, follows Emily (Diaz) and Matt (Foxx), who find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family.
