A person has died near the tracks at Montrose Railway Station.Emergency servcies launched a major response following the incident earlier this morning.The station has been shut affecting Monday morning services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
A Police Scotland spokesman declined to comment on the nature of the incident and instead directed all calls to the British Transport Police.
A spokesman for BTP said: “Officers were called to Montrose station at 6.40am this morning following reports of a casualty near the tracks.“Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.”A shuttle bus service has been arranged to
