Ex-Manchester United captain Paul Ince has attempted to explain his comments from last season in which he claimed "anyone" could do as good as job as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the club.
Solskjaer initially took over as caretaker manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked in December 2018, and after winning his first eight games in charge Ince said "I could have gone in and done the same thing, so could Steve Bruce." Since then Solskjaer has had an up-and-down time at Old Trafford, but speaking to the Evening Standard Ince insisted his words at the time were taken out of context. “If they listen to what I'd actually said they’d understand what I meant,” Ince said. “I didn’t say anyone could do that job.
