Two heartbroken families have joined forces to demand a change in the law to halt multiple post-mortems on violent death victims.Kevin Woodburn and Pamela Munro – whose children Shaun Woodburn and Paige Doherty were both killed in violent attacks – said the current system is “outdated and barbaric” and does not give victims the dignity they deserve.They want MSPs to back moves to limit the time defence lawyers are allowed to order a second post-mortem after a violent death.Under new proposals, defence lawyers will have 14 days to carry out a second post-mortem in murder and culpable homicide cases.Currently, when a person is charged with murder, their lawyer will get a copy of the first post-mortem carried out for prosecutors at the Crown
