A Fatal Accident Inquiry has confirmed that a chef jailed for stabbing his wife to death in a horrific attack, died in a Lanarkshire hospice.Peter Cumming stabbed grandmother Lynda Brown, 63, four times in the back as he prepared for a dinner party in 2012.The 66-year-old was jailed for a minimum of 14 years after pleading guilty to the murder at their home in Shawlands.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The hearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court was told he had been diagnosed with advanced cancer two months before his death in August 2020, but had refused treatment.

Cumming, who had previous domestic abuse convictions towards his partner, had admitted the killing at the High Court in Glasgow in 2013.
