Olivia Colman is solid gold TV royalty – but criticism of the way she portrayed the Queen in The Crown got her blue blood boiling.
The actress, who takes to the throne in the third series of the hit Netflix show, faced a backlash from die-hard fans who slated her accent and branded her performance “boring”.
But Olivia, 46, has had the last laugh after being nominated for an Emmy for the role. Becoming Queen Elizabeth II was quite a challenge, however.
