A firm commitment to offer support to service personnel, veterans and their families has been made by representatives of North Lanarkshire Council on Armistice Day.Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2013, the council has reaffirmed its pledge to support those who have served their country.Provost Jean Jones was joined by Armed Forces champion David Cullen, council chief executive Des Murray and Lieutenant Colonel Robert Stuart, MBE at the special signing ceremony on November 11, which took place after a wreathing laying service at the War Memorial to mark Armistice Day.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
