Nigella Lawson was on BBC Two for her Christmas special of Cook, Eat, Repeat and showed fans how to make a special black bread – with an odd hack using a shower cap.
The cooking guru, 60, put a shower cap on over her bowl of dough while leaving it to prove.Stirring the dough until it becomes a "dense sticky mixture", Nigella sticks a rather snazzy leopard print shower cap over the top of the bowl.She explains: "All it needs from me is to cover it to prove for about 16 hours or until it's really risen in volume with a wonderfully spongy surface."The black bread recipe looked decadent with a list of ingredients including Irish stout, dark rye flour, and nigella seeds.Nigella served it up with smoked salmon and a sprinkle of dill.Her fans.
