An Oscar and Grammy Award has eluded him thus far, but if there is any artistic justice, Nicholas Britell will take home a second Emmy Award this September for his stunning original score for “The Underground Railroad.” His third collaboration with Barry Jenkins after “Moonlight” and “If Beale Street Could Talk,” the orchestrations for “Railroad” have already amounted to 3 hours and 13 minutes of original music.
