NHS trust has been fined £733,000 for failing to provide safe care and treatment following the death of a baby boy. East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust admitted failures in the case of Harry Richford, who died seven days after his emergency delivery in November 2017, according to the Mirror.
Harry's mum Sarah Richford said some of the care she and her baby received was "dire and inexcusable", in a statement read out by a judge.
Judge Barron read parts of emotional statements from parents Sarah and Tom Richford who said they had "cried themselves to sleep on countless occasions," Kent Online reports.Care for mothers and newborn babies at the trust has been scrutinised as reports have shown at least seven preventable baby.
