An NHS boss is calling for the lockdown to tighten in England's worst-hit area to curb the spread of coronavirus. Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust chief executive Chris Long said schools should be closed again in the East Yorkshire city for a short time to try to bring Covid-19 under control.

Despite England's second national lockdown, cases in Hull have been soaring in recent weeks, leaving it England's worst-hit area.
