NFL star knocks out opponent in boxing debut - but isn't declared the winner

NFL star Adrian Peterson whilst making his debut, but was not awarded the win due to the fight being an exhibition event. Bell took on Peterson as part of the Social Gloves 2 card taking place in California.The card was headlined by YouTubers, AnEsonGib and Austin McBroom as both Bell and Peterson made their debuts in the ring.

It was Peterson who landed the first knockdown, as he sat Bell on the canvas thanks to a strong jab in round two.The un-scored bout went on to be an evenly matched one across rounds three and four, before Bell got his revenge with a knockout blow in the fifth and final round.READ MORE: YouTube boxer taken 'straight to hospital' after being floored five times in fight After landing a jab to the body, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers man dropped a crushing right hand to the face of Peterson which dropped him to the ground.

The 37-year-old running back looked well out of it as he lay flat out on the canvas.He did then get back to his feet, but it proved too little too late for Peterson as the referee called the fight, due to it being an exhibition however the result was not given to Bell.

Following the fight, Bell said: "I had a great performance, I put in a lot of hard work."All the hate that just motivates me, it was a badge of honour on my shoulder and I use it to be the best I can be.
