And the Brazilian commemorated his strike in pretty controversial fashion by copying star Dortmund striker Erling Haaland’s well-known celebration.
Neymar managed to break the deadlock in the 28th minute by diverting Angel di Maria’s corner goal-wards. Not his usual style, but the trickster snuck in front of Achraf Hakimi to plant a diving header past the outstretched Roman Burki.
In the tradition of breaking traditions, he also dumped any of his usual celebrations, and instead copied that of opposition striker Haaland.
