Newcastle's £300m takeover may have inched closer today after Saudi Arabia claimed to launch a crackdown on the TV piracy of sports matches.
The buyout, led by Amanda Staveley, had stalled amid a major international trade dispute involving the illegal broadcast of sporting events.
