Newcastle's prospective new owners are considering making Saudi Arabian football icon Sami Al-Jaber a board member on Tyneside.
The 47-year-old is currently an advisor to the Saudi General Sports Authority following a stint as Al-Hilal president, where he appointed rumoured Newcastle target Jorge Jesus as manager.
Al-Jaber is treasured in the Middle East following his exploits as a player with Al-Hilal, the national team and a brief spell in England with Wolves.
