Newcastle’s potential new-found financial power could convince Kalidou Koulibaly to join, according to reports. Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has reportedly agreed a £300m sale of the club to a consortium which is backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.
That’s led Magpies fans to start dreaming of the club splashing the cash in the summer transfer window. The likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Philippe Coutinho have been linked with ending up at St James’ Park by the end of the summer and Serie A sensation Koulibaly is also on the club’s radar.
According to Sky Sports, Newcastle’s prospective new owners want to sign Koulibaly if they are allowed to buy the club. Koulibaly has been linked with a big-money move to the Premier League
