Police have responded to reports of a naked hiker wearing nothing but a hat, boots and a rucksack at picturesque beauty spot.
Officers were called to Devil's Dyke near Brighton, East Sussex, on Monday afternoon after a man was spotted having abandoned most of his clothes.
But they were unable to find the starkers walker despite receiving multiple reports from alarmed members of the public enjoying the fresh air in lockdown.
The man spotted at the National Trust's 100m deep valley was reportedly around 50 years old. Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor, of Sussex Police, told his 1,800 followers about the search effort.
