Mystery space rock that ‘burns after being doused in water’ smashes into Earth

Panicked residents in the Indian city of Ghaziabad reported seeing a fireball-like object falling from the sky during severe rains on Thursday.
It then crashed into the ground with a “loud boom that sounded like thunder”, according to India Today. Footage from the scene shows the mystery object in flames just moments after its collision near a railway station.
The fire brigade quickly rushed to the scene and extinguished the flames with water. But it mysteriously continued to smoulder.
