Murder investigation launched after man, 25, dies in 'altercation'

A 25-year-old man has died following an 'altercation' in Reading. Thames Valley Police have opened a murder investigation following the death early on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to reports of an altercation in the Tilehurst area of the Berkshire town at 6.55pm. Police confirmed a young man who sustained multiple injuries has since died, reports Berkshire Live.

No arrests have been made, officers added. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood, of the Major Crime Unit, said: “We have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Reading this evening. “The investigation is in its early stages, however we are conducting thorough enquiries in order to establish what has happened. “I
