Mum says £200,000 'dream home' new-build quickly turned into horrible nightmare

A furious homeowner "hates" her new-build home so much she is demanding the property developer buy it back from her. The Newcastle-upon-Tyne house buyer claims she has had "six months of hell" since moving into the £200,000 three-bedroom detached house as various "snags" have cropped up - although Barratt Homes insists all repairs were promptly dealt with.

Pauline Collins, 61, was excited to return to her native North East from Hertfordshire with hopes of a fresh start with her son Daniel, 41.

But she claims her return to the region has been "ruined" after enduring what she claims were six months of "hell" since moving into her Blakelaw home in November last year.
