Babies and mothers have been killed by gunmen in an attack on a hospital. Militants stormed the facility in Kabul, Afghanistan this morning, murdering two newborn children in a maternity clinic run by Doctors Without Borders.
They also killed 11 mums and nurses and injured a further 15 people, including children. The attackers, who were disguised as police officers, were all shot dead in a firefight with Afghan special forces.
The Kabul attack began in the morning when at least three gunmen entered the Dasht-e-Barchi hospital, throwing grenades and shooting, government officials said. "The attackers were shooting at anyone in this hospital without any reason.
