Morrisons launches SOS food delivery service for students forced to self-isolate

Morrisons has just launched a "Serve our Students" food delivery service designed to get essentials to people self isolating in halls and campuses.

The service will launch at the Birley and Cambridge Halls at Manchester Met University - where around 1,500 have been asked to self-isolate - and will expand to other universities.

Students at affected campuses will be able to email students-ug@morrisonsplc.co.uk to put in an order today, to be delivered tomorrow between 5pm - 7pm.

There's no delivery charge for this week’s service to Manchester and more locations are planned for later on in the week. Morrisons chief executive David Potts said: “Students have asked for our help and that’s why we are making sure they can safely access
