Michael Jackson’s pet chimp was banned from recording studio for 'throwing poo against walls'

Michael Jackson’s pet chimp, Bubbles, had terrible toilet manners, Toto ­singer Steve Lukather has claimed. And according to the musician, the ape was banned from Westlake Studios in West Hollywood - where MJ was working in 1982 on his album Thriller - because he launched his own faeces at the walls and trashed the area when Dirty Diana hitmaker Michael was recording Beat It.

Steve shared the bizarre story during an interview with Ultimate Guitar and detailed the animal's bad habits and reflected on the late Michael - who died in 2009 - as a "cool" person.

He said: “He stopped bringing [Bubbles] because he tore apart the vocal booth and threw s*** against the wall. “That monkey just ripped that f***ing booth to shreds.
