This film marks McCarthy’s fourth collaboration with her husband Ben Falcone, who previously directed his wife in Tammy (2014), The Boss (2016), and Life of the Party (2018), all of which the couple co-wrote together.

At first, you might think that a film about a woman being stalked by a superintelligent AI that presents with the voice of James Corden would be a horror film. I mean, James Corden is a popular guy and seems silly enough, but let’s be real, his voice following you everywhere you go and threatening to blow up the world doesn’t really seem like fodder for a comedy.
