Speaking on his ITV show on Thursday, he explained that the top one-year fixed account is currently offering 1.6% interest rates. "The top one-year fix where you lock your money in, Vanquis at 1.6% is still there, but I doubt for much longer. “So, if you want that, I'd go pretty quickly." A one-year fixed account means you are unable to withdraw any money from your account during the one-year period.
There are also easy access accounts on offer which do allow customers to withdraw funds. The best deals, as he revealed in last week’s episode, were from sister companies Marcus and Saga with their 1.3% offer.
