Martin Lewis has slammed "irresponsible and dangerous" changes made by the Student Loans Company (SLC) to its website. The SLC recently moved its site from SLC.co.uk to Gov.uk and introduced a new 'quick repayment tool', which it says will make it easier for people to repay student loans.
But, the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com criticised SLC for misleading anyone who logs in to the site by presenting the total amount of debt owed front and centre.
Writing on the MoneySavingExpert.com website, Martin said: “The first thing university leavers see when they log in, in a large font, is the amount of 'debt they owe'. “This is demoralising, damaging and dangerous.
