Martin Lewis issued a warning to those seeking refunds for cancelled flights. The Money Saving Expert founder said accepting vouchers is risky business.
If a firm goes bust, you could be left out of pocket as banks are unlikely to cover you. And while some say the checks are ATOL protected, this apparently hasn’t been tested yet.
For this reason, it’s best to push for a refund instead.
