Covid lockdown to hospitality businesses like mine is only just beginning. If we are lucky, we are just about breaking even at the moment.
In my case, every time we manage to inch into surplus, some vital bit of kit or maintenance that had to be put on hold when we were closed pops up to gobble up the little bit extra we have made.At this rate, I am not anticipating being able to pay myself anything out of the business until next year.
So that means many more months of essentially living on what the fish truck generates, plus the proceeds from flogging accumulated stuff that I no longer have a use for.
